Application for SEMP traineeships

Criteria

The following criteria apply for internships within SEMP:

  • You must find a supervisor at a UZH department who accepts you as a trainee yourself.
  • Your traineeship must last from 2 months minimum to 12 months maximum.
  • You must be enrolled at a university in a European country other than Switzerland (Erasmus+ programme countries) during your traineeship.
  • The traineeship must be recognized by your home university. 

Application

The application must be submitted through our application portal Mobility Online: Registration Mobility Online

First you have to fill in an application form and register on Mobility Online. In a second step you can upload the necessary application documents. You will receive more information regarding this after registering.

The application on Mobility Online must be completed at least 60 days before the start of your traineeship.

SEMP Funding

Within the Swiss-European Mobility Programme (SEMP), students who complete a traineeship at UZH can apply for a grant to cover part of their travel and living expenses.

Funding for traineeships is provided by the Swiss Confederation and is therefore limited. Stipends are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis and amount to 440 CHF per month (calculated on a per diem basis).

In order to apply for financial support for a traineeship, please register through Mobility Online and submit your online application.
