The Admissions Office processes all applications of students with an international educational background for Bachelor's degree program, as well as Master's degree program, Teaching Diploma program, and Doctoral degree program.

Please make sure to check the application deadlines for students with international qualifications, as well as the deadlines for applicants with visa requirements.

If you have any academic questions related to your program of choice, or you want to know more about the application requirements, please contact the respective student advisory services of your prospective faculty. 

Your faculty can also answer any questions regarding module-booking, examinations and receiving your degree.

You will have to check if you need a visa in order to study and live in Switzerland. To find out if you need to apply for a visa, please refer to the website for international students. 

If you need a visa, please read and follow the guidelines. All necessary information, instructions and links can be found in there. 

All students, regardless whether they need a visa, are required to register for a residence permit after arrival.

Finding accommodation is your own responsibility. A small number of rooms for international Master’s students will be published on the ETH/UZH Housing Office search portal. Please upload your confirmation of acceptance when you register on the site, and indicate that you are a Master’s student from UZH.
